https://www.clawscustomboxes.com/jv2an2a2qtw Here’s a bit of après ski with a difference in the French Pyrenees. After a day’s skiing the 80km of slopes in Ax les Thermes, come down in the gondola which drops you off right opposite one of the main squares in the town, cross the road, order yourself a beer from one of the atmospheric bars, take your boots and socks off – and jump in the free bath.

Yes, a free bath, heated by thermal waters that have been rising up through the ground at temperatures of up to 77 degrees for an estimated 8,000 years. It is one of three free baths you will find around the town, although of course if you want to go the whole hog you can pay your admission into the impressive Les Bains du Coulebret which offers both indoor and outdoor heated pools with mountain views, open all year round, as well as various saunas and steam rooms.

Purchasing Xanax Online The waters also claim to have medicinal properties and one of the larger baths is known as the ancient basin of the Ladres which you will find next to an old hospital in the attractive historic town. About 100 years ago town officials also had the bright idea of laying ducts under the town pathways and alleys. The warm thermal water running through them keeps the pavements free of ice and snow in the colder months.

Can You Buy Xanax In Uk The French Pyrenees certainly promise skiers and snowboarders something a bit different. As well as offering great, affordable skiing which is easily accessible from the UK via Toulouse Airport, the Pyrenees resorts also offer experiences and an atmosphere which you generally won’t find in the larger, more well-known resorts.

Lorazepam Order Alprazolam In Ax 3 Domaines, the three linked ski areas of Saquet, Campbels and Bonascre offer 37 pistes from 1400 metres to 2400 metres, a snow park and boardercross, as well as a new protected Espace Evolution for beginners and sledging. There are slopes for all levels and tastes – Couillard is incredibly steep (and often icy) at the top and mogul lovers will love the black Tute slope. There are also nice wide nursery slopes at the top of the main gondola, meaning that even at the end of the season or when the snow isn’t so good, beginners have somewhere to practice. It’s a very pretty domaine, with plenty of tree-lined pistes. The resort well-served for bars, restaurants and ski shops at the base of the pistes, plus there are a couple of places to eat at altitude. Le Louzat is tucked away in the trees halfway up the mountain and serves traditional French food in a cosy interior with fire or on a spectacular terrace – go early or late on a sunny day to get a spot on the terrace.

https://blog.extraface.com/2024/08/07/8wpcdqke If you want to go green, Ax can be reached fairly easily flight-free by overnight train from Paris, followed by the gondola up to the slopes from Ax-Les-Thermes. Plus, the resort has just installed a new chairlift, the Bisrone 4-man chair which means visitors can choose how they get up the mountain. This new lift links Bonascre to Campels and changes the ski circulation in our resort as it had doubled double the capacity of seats from the old one.

https://mandikaye.com/blog/re0b2p2u And if you have time, it’s smaller sister station Ascou on the other side of the valley is worth a look, as well as nearby Domaine de Chioula and Plateau de Beille for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

https://merangue.com/syqesiv Equally as enticing but very different is Les Angles in the Pyrenees Orientales, close to the Spanish border and with a French/Catalan feel. Slightly smaller than Ax, it has 55 km of pistes from 1600 metres to 2400 metres. There are 45 runs and because the terrain is fairly spread out, it somehow feels larger than it actually is. While modern buildings have sprung up over the years, the old village with traditional buildings and winding streets remains, plus Les Angles is the only resort in the Pyrenees where you can ski all the way down to village level (rather than to a more modern, higher outpost). There are three lifts up from the base, including a recently renovated bubble, which means that the queues never get too long, even first thing in the morning.

Around 60% of the resort is about 2000 metres and there are over 350 snow cannons, so the resort is pretty snowsure. There are plenty of wide blue and red runs for showing off your carving and one really nice feature is three black runs which are left unpisted – ideal for those who want a taste of off-piste without the danger, or for fretful parents of more adventurous children who want to know that they’ll be scooped up if they fall. Many of the pistes are tree-lined making even skiing in bad weather a joy. And if you want a break from skiing, you can visit the 37-hectare animal park where native Pyrenean animals including bears and wolves live in semi-freedom, go ice-diving, take a husky-pulled sledge ride or simply relax in the spa.

There’s a wide range of bars and restaurants both in the village and at altitude. The hors sac (picnic) room is worth a look – while in most French resorts these tend to be fairly soulless strip-lit affairs, in Les Angles it has an open-fire grill where you can cook any food you take along , as well as a sunny terrace.
