Trentino, situated in the heart of the Italian Alps in northern Italy, has had a great start to the season with all lifts and slopes open, thanks to dropping temperatures and abundant snowfall.
Known for its UNESCO Dolomites, Trentino offers 800 kilometres of slopes, most of which are located between Dolomiti Superski(350km) and Skirama Dolomiti-Adamello Brento (almost 400km), served by 227 fast lifts.
Andy Varallo, President of Superski Dolomiti, said: “The snow conditions in the ski resorts of the Dolomites are excellent. The rise in temperatures between Christmas and New Year was expected and has not led to any issues. The ski lifts of the Dolomiti Superski are open and running as per usual. And more snowfall is expected, which will ensure great conditions for skiers and snowboarders visiting the region.”
Fabio Sacco, President of the Skirama consortium, added: “We have equipped the districts with innovative snow-making technologies, created artificial basins and implemented solutions to minimise the use of water resources. It’s essential we keep evolving and implementing more initiatives and strategies in the coming years.”
