ACTION Outdoors has launched two new programs for anyone between the ages of 18 and 25 – that heavily discounts the cost of a normal all-inclusive ski holiday package across 10 different resorts in the French Alps and a Youth Program – specially designed for 16 and 17 year olds that can enjoy an autonomous trip away from home under supervision.
The holidays are all based in the UCPA centres, a non-profit organisation that promotes ‘sport for all’ and provides instruction, equipment hire, lift passes and full board accommodation in its packages that start from £476 for anyone between 18 and 25 years of age.
There’s over 3,000 individual spaces available throughout the winter, in resorts such as Chamonix, Tignes and Val d’Isère – all of the holidays have been subsidised by the UCPA. There’s up to 34% off the normal holiday cost and the very minimum discount available is 20%.
Managing Director of Action Outdoors, David Robertson, said: “The UCPA is helping to fill the gap between school and university trips, helping to get young people out on the slopes. This will help to build up the skiing generation of the future and when Millennials are being locked out of society because of the economic barriers they face, they need all the help they can get. With the all-inclusive price of around £500 for a week’s skiing, we’re sure this is an unbeatable option price wise for that age group”.

Youth Program – 16 and 17 year olds
The new youth program is designed for teenagers and to help develop autonomy for young people and make their first trip from home safe and enjoyable. Ski or snowboard lessons are mixed with adults and rooms are shared with other children of the same age. There’s also a dedicated member of staff on-site at all times to manage the group, plan their activities and ensure they sign in and out when leaving the centre.
Two centres have been made available for these holidays, Argentiere and Val d’Isère, with several dates through February, March and April 2019.
Prices start at £500 per person, including 7 nights full board accommodation, 6.5 days lift passes, equipment hire, 23 hours of ski or snowboard instruction.
