Summer holiday camps for children at Snozone
Snozone is running ski and snowboard school holiday camps during the Summer holidays until the 4 September at its Milton Keynes and Yorkshire snow centres.
The camps are available from Monday to Friday and are suitable for children aged 7-15 years. ‘Base Camps’ cater for beginners and ‘All Mountain’ is for children with a bit more experience on the slope. Freshly made food is also available for the Alpine Kitchens.

Colorado Ski Country announces new record for skier and snowboarder visits
The pandemic may have prevented British skiers and snowboarders travelling to America over the last couple of seasons, but Colorado is making quite a comeback according to recent reports.
Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced at its 60th Annual Meeting that skier visits to its 21 member ski resorts increased nearly 8% over last year’s total. Using publicly available information, CSCUSA has estimated a new statewide record of 14.8 million visits. The previous record for visits was set last year when the total was 13.8 million.

British Snowboarder Mia Brookes’ achievements recognised by Guinness World Records and European Olympic Committee
British Snowboarder Mia Brookes has been officially recognised as the youngest snowboarding world champion in the history of the sport, reports the Guinness World Records organisation.
At the age of 16 years 39 days, she won the women’s snowboard slopestyle at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships in Bakuriani, Georgia, on 27 February 2023.

Ski film featuring all-female cast hits the silver screen in London on 30 May
A UK screening of the ski film Nexus: One Is Not Enough is being organised by ALS Ski in support of Protect Our Winters UK and Women of Winter.
The screening will take place on Sunday 30 May 2023 at the Royal Geographical Society in Kensington. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Ski tour operators and agents are reporting huge sales increases in advanced bookings for 2023/4.
Specialist ski and snowboard travel agency Skiline, reported a sales increase of 73% year on year during January 2023.

Courmayeur Mont Blanc’s hosts special Family Easter Ski Week
Courmayeur in the Italian Alps is hosting a Family Easter Ski Week from 26 March to 2 April 2023 for children aged four to 13 years old.
The resort has partnered with Momentum Ski and UK-based children’s events company Archy Events to create a week-long programme based at the Hotel Pavillon, a family-run hotel situated in the village. The programme includes ski school and kids’ club and there is a large swimming pool and spa. Courmayeur is ideal for skiers and non-skiers with a wide range of activities, such as snowshoeing and fat biking.
