There’s a chance to combine some end of season skiing and snowboarding with great entertainment during the Altitude Comedy Festival when it returns to the Austrian resort of Mayrhofen from 3 to 7 April 2023.
The event has already received the accolade of Best Overseas Festival and has been nominated for three UK Festival and four European Festival Awards. This year’s programme features intimate afternoon après ski shows, gala performances and late-night impromptu sets.
As well as performing on stage, the comedians can be spotted out and about on the slopes, on chair lifts, in the local restaurants and dressing up in Lederhosen in the early hours.
Performers include Dylan Moran, Rufus Hound, Rich Hall, Marcus Brigstocke, Deirdre O’Kane, Barry Murphy, Mark Nelson and Emmanuel Sonubi, plus the Thinking Drinkers pub quiz makes its Altitude debut. For the full line-up CLICK HERE
There’s still affordable accommodation available at £266pp for seven nights in a mountain-view room at the Gästehaus Pöll (via booking.com) for the 2-9 April, as well as many other choices.
Set in the heart of the Zillertal Valley, between the Penken and smaller Ahorn mountains, Mayrhofen is suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders.
The Hintertux glacier, also in the Zillertal Valley, is a short bus ride away and one of the only ski resorts in the world with guaranteed snow 365 days of the year.
