Courmayeur Mont Blanc’s hosts special Family Easter Ski Week

Courmayeur in the Italian Alps is hosting a Family Easter Ski Week from 26 March to 2 April 2023 for children aged four to 13 years old.

The resort has partnered with Momentum Ski and UK-based children’s events company Archy Events to create a week-long programme based at the Hotel Pavillon, a family-run hotel situated in the village. The programme includes ski school and kids’ club and there is a large swimming pool and spa. Courmayeur is ideal for skiers and non-skiers with a wide range of activities, such as snowshoeing and fat biking. read more

After a spell of dry weather, there have been recent heavy snowfalls across many resorts in the western Alps, especially France, providing a good base for the next few weeks and going into Easter. Snowmass has a 54-feet rock climbing wall at Limelight Hotel. This is the tallest indoor climbing wall in Colorado and includes three lanes for simultaneous climbing. For each 30-minute session, climbing shoes and harness, as well as guided supervision, are included. read more

Chamonix-Mont Blanc’s spring ski touring event returns and is open to everybody from beginner to expert

‘La Trace des Grands’, Chamonix-Mont Blanc’s International Ski Mountaineering and Freeride Event, returns to the French resort for the second time on the 4-5 March 2023.

Conceived and organised by the Outdoor Legacy Association, this year’s event has three races to choose from following a route above the Argentière basin at the Grands Montets. The courses have been designed to cater for everyone from beginner to expert and allows public access at various strategic points, to create a festival atmosphere. read more

The second Top of the Mountain Spring Concert kicks off in Ischgl, Austria on 30 March 2023, with British singer-songwriter George Ezra making his debut on the legendary ‘Ischgl Stage’.

The 29-year-old’s repertoire includes well-known hits such as ‘Budapest’, ‘Shot Gun’, ‘Barcelona’ and ‘Blame It On Me’ as well as songs from his new album ‘Gold Rush Kid’. read more

Flaine hosts British Schoolgirls Races

The British Schoolgirls Races (30 & 31 Jan 2023) returned to Flaine after a three-year absence for its 62nd event.

Two competitors battle it out during the British Schoolgirls Races.

The competition, organised by the Ladies Ski Club, attracted 143 girls from 26 schools who competed over two days in excellent conditions in front of a large crowd of spectators including teachers, parents, coaches and a guest appearance by former British Racer and Olympian Chemmy Alcott. read more
