MOST skiers and snowboarders have experienced this scene. You stop for something to eat, or at your favourite apres ski bar as you come off the slopes, you plant your skis or snowboard outside and when you come out again another couple of hundred people have also dumped their skis or snowboards and you spend ages trying to find yours.
Tile is a new gadget that helps you locate your skis and also keep track of your important possessions.
Waterproof and durable, Tile Sport is a Bluetooth tracker designed to help you find your lost possessions. Tile has an endless amount of uses from your luggage to keys and wallets.
With a range of up to 200 feet you can locate your item via the Tile app on select iOS or Android phones or you can use Tile to find your phone in reverse. This can be done by ringing either Tile from the app on your phone or by ringing your phone from Tile. The ‘Last Place Seen’ function on the app also allows you to view on a map the last place your Tile was within range, helping you to locate it even if you’ve left it behind.
In addition to this, you can use other people’s Tile apps to securely and anonymously locate your lost items with ‘Community Find’ using the ‘Notify When Found’ button on your app. This maximises the chances of finding your possessions wherever they may be.
Tile Sport costs £30 and is available from a number of retailers, including Amazon and John Lewis, as well as from their website: Tile.com
