• New survey shows UK Snowsports market will grow by 14% in 2023/24

   A new survey by ski chalet specialist Le Ski predicts that the UK snowsports market will grow by 14% in winter 2023/24. The survey was conducted by YouGov for Le Ski during August 2023 and showed that 1.12 million British skiers and snowboarders took to the slopes last winter.  read more

• Travelski Express on track for the 23/24 season

  Travelski has announced that the 2023/24 Travelski Express product is now on sale. Running outbound from London on Saturday mornings from 30 December and returning the following Sunday (also daytime) the new packages will offer daytime train travel in both directions and eight nights of accommodation (to facilitate a full seven days of skiing) as standard. read more

• Summer holiday camps for children at Snozone

  Snozone is running ski and snowboard school holiday camps during the Summer holidays until the 4 September at its Milton Keynes and Yorkshire snow centres.

  The camps are available from Monday to Friday and are suitable for children aged 7-15 years. ‘Base Camps’ cater for beginners and ‘All Mountain’ is for children with a bit more experience on the slope. Freshly made food is also available for the Alpine Kitchens. read more

• Colorado Ski Country announces new record for skier and snowboarder visits

  The pandemic may have prevented British skiers and snowboarders travelling to America over the last couple of seasons, but Colorado is making quite a comeback according to recent reports.

  Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) announced at its 60^th Annual Meeting that skier visits to its 21 member ski resorts increased nearly 8% over last year’s total. Using publicly available information, CSCUSA has estimated a new statewide record of 14.8 million visits. The previous record for visits was set last year when the total was 13.8 million. read more

• British Snowboarder Mia Brookes’ achievements recognised by Guinness World Records and European Olympic Committee

  British Snowboarder Mia Brookes has been officially recognised as the youngest snowboarding world champion in the history of the sport, reports the Guinness World Records organisation.

• Three French resorts announce plans to open glaciers for skiing and snowboarding during the summer

  The French resort of Tignes has announced that it plans to open for summer skiing and boarding from 17 June to 23 July, 2023.
