Although Team GB’s Katie Ormerod was left disappointed after she finished 25th in qualification for the women’s snowboard Big Air, as only the top 12 progressing to the final, her appearance in the Beijing Olympics marked a welcome return following a serious injury which almost ended her career.
Team GB’s Freestyle skier Kirsty Muir finished in an impressive fifth place in the first-ever women’s Big Air final.

Kirsty, who was making her Olympic debut and at 17 years old is Team GB’s youngest competitor at the Winter Games, will now compete in the slopestyle competition on Sunday.
Team GB’s Kirsty Muir will compete in tomorrow’s Big Air final at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics after finishing seventh in the qualification round. Team mate Katie Summerhayes narrowly missed out after finishing 13th with the top 12 progressing.
