Despite falling on her first two runs Team GB freestyle skier Zoe Atkin finished ninth in the women’s freeski halfpipe final after scoring 73.25 on her third run. Zoe had qualified in fourth place the previous day with a score of 86.75.

Team GB’s Freestyle skier Kirsty Muir finished in an impressive fifth place in the first-ever women’s Big Air final.

Kirsty, who was making her Olympic debut and at 17 years old is Team GB’s youngest competitor at the Winter Games, will now compete in the slopestyle competition on Sunday.

Ski Mountaineering will be put forward as an additional sport to the programme of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. The IOC Executive Board has forwarded this proposal to the next IOC Session in Tokyo in July.
