Brothers Neil Simpson and Andrew Simpson followed up their Day 2 gold with a bronze in the Men’s VI Super-Combined after a blistering Slalom leg catapulted them into the medal spots.

Sitting in fifth after the Super-G stage, the pair were fast out of the gate and put enough on the board to hold off the challenge of others above them in the first-stage standings, their medal position confirmed when France’s Hyacinthe Deleplace, leading from the first stage, lost time to a huge error in the upper half of the Slalom. Alpine Ski World Cup to start a week early

After last winter’s competitions finished early due to pandemic lockdowns, the FIS has announced that the 2020-21 Alpine World Cup will be starting a week earlier than originally planned.

Day five of the English Alpine Ski Championships was a busy day for all, as the FIS racers, Under 16s and Under 10/12s raced across three of Bormio’s pistes today.

On the Stelvio piste the FIS racers took on two Super Gs. And it was two British racers, Jessica Anderson and Owen Vinter, who were fastest overall in both the Super G races, fighting off competition from two strong international fields. read more
