January may seem a little bit long for some people, but for others it carries a great sense of excitement – February half term is just around the corner. You might be feeling very pleased that you booked your trip last year but if you’re like me you’ll suddenly realise that you’ve got nothing to wear. But panic not – you still have a couple of weeks to get you and your kids kitted out.
Since the demise of C&A ski gear in this country, it’s quite difficult to think of a place that’s not going to stretch your financial resources when searching for ski wear. But there are a couple of places that might just surprise you.
As well as being renowned for selling bikes and running shoes, Decathlon also has the most incredible range of ski wear at very attractive prices. There’s also a range of skis and boots which is fantastically affordable. As well as selling ski jackets and pants for everyone they also sell a kiddies’ helmet which helps give you confidence that they’re protected on the slopes.
The Aldi range is small but complete. You really can buy an entire ski suit including goggles for a fraction of the price of other brands. The style is fairly plain but perfectly pleasant and the price will astound you. Aldi operates a 60-day return policy so there’s no need to panic if the clothing doesn’t fit.
There’s no need to worry about the technical specification in the cheaper brands, as it’s more than you need for your average recreational skier. You may want to tell your friends what great value these brands really are. Just don’t tell them until you’ve got your own sorted. These lines offer amazing prices and I can’t help thinking that they’ll soon be gone.
Have a fun filled February.
